Welcome to anyone that may stumble upon this forum. We are The Dead Internet Society.
Obviously it is a play off a combination of the 1989 cult classic, 'Dead Poets Society', starring the beloved Robin Williams and The Dead Internet Theory. Not something I full prescribe to but nonetheless interesting.
Are you tired of social media and the constant reposts on Reddit?. Moronic posts, bots, trolls, ads. People arguing with each other and both of them are wrong. I miss the oldschool forums, when threads went on for days and years.
So I set this up and I'll be customizing it and attempting to populate it with some seed content. Maybe someone besides bots or malicious actors will join and help by contributing. Maybe it will just be me and I'll loose interest, like most projects.
I should set some rules and of course more will come as needed but for now I will set one Golden Rule which is basiclaly a core principal and part of why I wanted to create this space.
Rule 1: Absolutely no AI generated content of any kind.
If you really feel like you can't write concise and your spelling and grammar sucks and you need to run your post through AI to make on concise, okay, fine. AI is a great tool and I'm not saying otherwise, I just don't want to see it in art. So no AI generated stories, writing, poetry etc. and asbolutely no AI generated images, audio or videos.
